Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information on OBP Creator.

Terms & Conditions Privacy Policy Refund Policy
Simco Ventures ("we," "us," "our") is committed to handling information collected through the OBP Creator platform ("Platform") responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection law in India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and, where applicable, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and applies to resellers ("Resellers") who register on the Platform and to business information submitted about their Merchant customers ("Merchants").

1. Scope and Application

This Policy governs information collected through simcoz.com, the OBP Creator reseller portal, dashboard, and associated administrative tools. It applies to (a) personal information provided by Resellers upon registration and continued use of the Platform, and (b) business information relating to Merchants, submitted by Resellers in the course of creating a Merchant Page. This Policy does not apply to information collected by a Reseller independently of the Platform, nor to any third-party website linked from a Merchant Page.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Reseller Account Information

When a Reseller registers, we collect the Reseller's registered mobile number (used to issue and verify one-time passwords for login), business or shop name, reseller code, service area (PIN code and city), and a record of Orders placed and payments made. This information is necessary to establish and administer the reseller account and cannot reasonably be omitted while maintaining a functioning account.

2.2 Merchant Business Information

In the course of creating a Merchant Page, the Platform processes a photograph of the Merchant's visiting card, together with business details either extracted automatically from that photograph or entered manually by the Reseller — including business name, category, contact telephone and WhatsApp numbers, postal address, and, where the Reseller chooses to add them, additional photographs, a list of services, package pricing, and free-text custom sections. This category of information is business contact information intended for public display on the resulting Merchant Page, and does not, in the ordinary course, constitute sensitive personal data relating to a private individual within the meaning of Applicable Law; however, Resellers should exercise care not to submit sensitive personal information of any individual (such as identity document numbers, financial account details, or health information) through the Platform, as it is not designed to process such categories of data.

2.3 Payment Information

We record the amount, status, and reference details of payments made by a Reseller for Orders and renewals. Card numbers, UPI credentials, and net-banking login details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Cashfree, in accordance with its own security standards and applicable Reserve Bank of India regulations; Simco Ventures does not itself store full card or bank account credentials.

2.4 Technical and Usage Information

We automatically generate limited technical logs in the ordinary course of operating the Platform, including timestamps, error logs, and rate-limiting records, for the purposes of maintaining security, diagnosing faults, and preventing abuse of the Service.

3. Purposes of Processing

Information described in Section 2 is processed for the following purposes: (a) creating, hosting, updating, and displaying Merchant Pages; (b) authenticating Resellers via one-time password and administering reseller accounts; (c) processing payments for Orders and renewals and maintaining accurate financial records; (d) generating artificial-intelligence-assisted suggestions for business copy, based on the Merchant's confirmed business category; (e) sending renewal reminders, service notifications, and, where applicable, communications regarding changes to this Policy or the Terms & Conditions; (f) investigating and preventing fraud, misuse, or violation of the Terms & Conditions; and (g) complying with applicable legal, regulatory, or governmental requirements, including in response to a valid order of a court or governmental authority.

4. Disclosure to Third-Party Processors

We engage the following categories of third-party service providers, each of which processes information strictly on our behalf and under contractual or platform-level confidentiality obligations, and none of which is authorised to use such information for its own independent marketing or other unrelated purposes:

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information where required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Simco Ventures, its Resellers, or the public.

5. Cross-Border Data Transfer

Certain service providers referenced in Section 4 may process or store data on servers located outside India. Where such transfer occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the receiving provider maintains a standard of data protection consistent with our obligations under Applicable Law.

6. Data Security

We employ reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including access controls, encrypted transmission where supported by the underlying infrastructure, and rate-limiting of authentication attempts. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and while we strive to protect information using commercially reasonable means, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain Reseller account information for so long as the account remains active, and Merchant Page data for so long as the corresponding Page remains active or suspended pending renewal, in each case together with such additional period thereafter as is reasonably necessary for record-keeping, accounting, dispute resolution, and compliance with Applicable Law. Where a deletion request is made in accordance with Section 8 below, we will action such request within a reasonable period, subject to any overriding legal or contractual retention obligation.

8. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them

Subject to Applicable Law, a Reseller may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held about their account, and may similarly request correction or removal of Merchant business information associated with a Page they created, by writing to support@simcoz.com with sufficient detail to identify the relevant account or Page. We will respond within a reasonable time. Certain requests — for example, deletion of information relating to an active, paid Order — may be subject to legitimate retention requirements, in which case we will inform you of the basis for any limitation on the request.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Platform makes limited use of browser session storage for the purpose of maintaining login state and in-progress Order data during a session; it does not currently employ third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is a business-to-business tool intended for use by adult operators of print shops, DTP businesses, and design studios, and is not directed at, nor knowingly used to collect personal information from, individuals under the age of eighteen (18).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we use, or Applicable Law. The version published on the Platform at any given time governs, and the date at the foot of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will, where reasonably practicable, be brought to the attention of registered Resellers.

12. Contact and Grievance Officer

Questions, requests, or complaints regarding this Privacy Policy or our handling of information may be directed to support@simcoz.com, or in writing to Simco Ventures, 222, SVP Nagar, Four Bungalows, Andheri (West), Mumbai 400053, Maharashtra, India. We will endeavour to acknowledge and address any such communication within a reasonable time in accordance with Applicable Law.
